Feasibility & technical advisory
Review your use case, data readiness, and deployment constraints. Define an evaluation plan and a practical scope for a pilot.
AI consulting, document intelligence, computer vision, and custom software built around your workflow. We help organizations across industries turn complex data into practical tools, backed by deep experience in nuclear energy and industrial engineering.
AI expertise built around your engineering needs
Find information faster, reduce repetitive analysis, and evaluate AI before committing to a wider rollout.
Search engineering archives, maintenance records, and technical standards with AI assistants grounded in your documents. We develop retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), domain-specific models, and agent workflows with traceable sources, structured evaluation, and human review.
Extract information from drawings and documents, interpret images and gauge readings, and analyze inspection or sensor data. We develop computer vision and machine learning tools tailored to your assets, data, and operating environment.
Turn a working AI model into a usable engineering tool. We develop desktop and web applications, connect existing systems, and plan deployment around your data, security, and maintenance requirements.
Engineering projects & supporting research
Selected work by Issam Hammad and collaborators across consulting, prior industry roles, and university research. These nuclear and energy examples demonstrate expertise in document intelligence, knowledge retrieval, and inspection automation that can be applied to other industries.
Contributed to Intelligent Drawing Query (IDQ) for locating equipment and configuration information in Darlington as-built drawings. The published work evaluates Azure OCR, Document Intelligence, and multimodal AI for equipment-tag extraction. Applications include electrical and I&C panels, junction boxes, and cable trays.
Collaborative work spans document retrieval for regulatory analysis, classification of plant condition records, and private nuclear language models. The emphasis is on retrieving relevant evidence, evaluating outputs, and supporting expert review. Related research examines how AI fits nuclear software qualification frameworks.
Drawing on prior industry work and subsequent research, these studies explore automated flaw detection and sizing in CANDU pressure-tube ultrasonic scans. The detection method flags regions for further analyst assessment; the sizing work examines automated measurements. This experience informs inspection tools that support qualified engineering review.
